Building Better Futures: How QUICKBLOCK Supports Endocryne’s Global Mission

Versatility Meets Vital Work

QUICKBLOCK is not only versatile and adaptable, but also incredibly easy to clean. This makes it an ideal solution for field laboratories, temporary hospitals, humanitarian aid sites, and defence sector deployments. It’s also proving effective closer to home, where it’s being used in a UK lab to create clean, modular room dividers for research spaces.

About Endocryne

Endocryne Ltd is a company focused on patient outcomes, and its core objective is translating natural product R&D discovery to meaningful, real-world, clinical impact. This revolutionary technology has the potential to address critical global challenges, from tackling infectious diseases to enhancing crop resilience and productivity. However, to be able to continue to do this work, they require fast, simple and clean laboratory space both in the UK and abroad for optimised working environments that are adaptable

The Challenge of Clean, Flexible Space

In September last year, Endocryne’s Scientific and Quality Director, William Walker, reached out to QUICKBLOCK to explore modular solutions for dividing their laboratory space in Linlithgow, Scotland.

The problem? Traditional partition walls required lengthy permission processes and came with long-term costs and potential dilapidation penalties. The team needed a solution that was non-permanent, easy to assemble, and hygienic.

At the same time, William was looking for a more robust alternative to other temporary structures being used in the Philippines to set up scientific field labs and provide essential clinical and humanitarian services in remote areas.  Alternatives can be difficult to clean, lack durability, and don’t always offer a safe working environment.

QUICKBLOCK in Action

QUICKBLOCK’s modular block system is lightweight, rapid to deploy, durable, and easy to clean, making it the perfect fit for Endocryne’s dual challenge.

In Scotland, the blocks are being used to create clean, modular lab partitions to support vital R&D. Abroad, we’re in early discussions to help build temporary field laboratories in the Philippines using QUICKBLOCK, allowing Endocryne to continue delivering vital work even in the most remote conditions.

Seeing our product contribute to this inspiring work is immensely rewarding and helps us to understand the many ways our product can be used to improve a variety of industries and potential innovations we can make.

A Trusted Solution in Demanding Conditions

"QUICKBLOCK is a great product, a unique solution to save money, create privacy and allow for a clean environment to work in. The ability to drop a pallet and have a field lab built in just a few hours is incredible. Having worked in temporary solutions previously, which are harder to clean and less sturdy, QUICKBLOCK feels safer and cleaner which is ideal for our type of work. The fact that it is easily dismantled, and reusable will save money and allow lab technicians, doctors and medical personnel to create these spaces without the need for trades. It really is a great product with a big future in this sector"

Love the Planet

QUICKBLOCK is not just functional, it’s eco-friendly. Every one of our blocks are:

  • Made from 100% recycled UK consumer plastic (polypropylene)
  • Fully reusable and recyclable, with a lifespan of up to 30 years
  • Manufactured locally in the UK, significantly lowering our carbon footprint
  • Saves an average of 5.35kg of CO₂ per block compared to breeze block

Sustainability is one of our core values, and we’re proud to help organisations like Endocryne reduce environmental impact while doing incredible work worldwide.
