The capability of QUICKBLOCK to create training spaces is gaining attention for their critical role in military training. Used by the British Army at the Infantry Battle School for Close Quarter Battle (CQB) training, demonstrated in our latest video (see below) QUICKBLOCK has now been deployed to train Ukrainian army medics to operate in the intense and confined conditions of trench warfare.

The British military boasts a large training estate for all its units, however Urban training villages and CQB facilities are often in high demand. Simply securing these training grounds provides challenge for units as well as the additional transportation, food, and accommodation for personnel. Unfortunately, due to this high demand, units, can face challenges in accessing these valuable spaces to meet their training requirements.
Bringing Training Directly to Base Camps
QUICKBLOCK addresses this challenge by allowing training facilities to be built directly on base, tailored to precise specifications and training objectives. For example, 2 Med Brigade in York used QUICKBLOCK to construct replica trenches, providing Ukrainian army medics with invaluable real-world experience in trench-based medical treatment. Training scenarios included manoeuvring within confined spaces, strategically storing medical supplies on combat uniform/in situ, and evacuating 100kg-plus casualties safely, all of which are critical skills that must be honed before entering high-stress, hostile environments.

For 2 Med Brigade, building these trenches to the specific configurations using traditional construction materials and excavating the land would have required, skilled labour and a 2-year planning process due to the land being a site of scientific interest. Not only would it have taken a significant time to build it would have cost significant sums of money for considerable engineering works.
In contrast, QUICKBLOCK offered an efficient, cost-effective temporary/semi-permanent solution that was assembled rapidly and to the exact configurations, at a fraction of the price and can be repurposed repeatedly based on needs.
